gph

It would seem that you are apparently unaware that all pitches now have to be the same standard size, unless the size of the stadium does not allow it. Hence why at The Boleyn our pitch was smaller, and now we have the same dimensions as all new Stadiums like Wembley, for example.

No doubt they will be cutting the old Astro turf into foot long squares and flogging in the shop.

Sooner or later, I'd like to see us build a team which is suited to the size of pitch we have, or even better, to the maximum size we can have.

We may as well turn the wide open spaces to our advantage.

I suspect it will make the pitch appear smaller. If we had any sense, we would have shortened the dimensions of the field this season. We don't have the pace or the technique to exploit a large pitch.

Been wondering that since I heard about it. Everton's pitch surround is blue (there may be more elsewhere, I just happened to notice theirs) and it looks good, but then it's quite a lot smaller than ours. I suppose the hope is that supporters have to focus on the important green bit rather than extra green bits.

Ridiculously it is being quoted as helping our players "spacal awareness"! Personally i think it will make it look more like a running track !

In this period where the taxpayer is forking out £8m to put our seats back we should be pushing a plan to make the area from the athletics seating to pitchside into a standing area.
They can stand on a few thousand quid of plastic rather than £200k of claret astroturfing

Until I see the invoice I would like to know who actually has paid for this. West Ham or the Stadium owners?
